John and Art Themen
John and Art first came together around 1995 with the formation of the John Critchinson/ Art Themen Quartet with Dave Barry - Drums and Dave Green - Double Bass. They recorded a CD - First Moves - which was released by Ronnie Scotts Jazz House records. This CD is now unavailable although it is receiving long consideration for release on TriO Records.

John now appears regularly with Art's Quartet every month at the Bulls Head Barnes (see giglist) and they re-create the original Quartet when possible.
Singer Jacqui Hicks recently joined them for a very successful concert at Lauderdale House Hampstead and they are appearing for the 2nd time, at the Jagz Ascot Christmas party 2009.
